Miik Green's amazing Spillover Exhibition

I had the pleasure of capturing 'Spillover', an exhibition by artist Miik Green, the other night. Beautiful.

Currently on show @ Linton & Kay Galleries PERTH CITY, this new exhibition by Perth artist Miik Green investigates how visual arts practice can reveal the inherent qualities found in natural forms. 

Green is gripped by the inherent qualities and structures found in natural forms and the creative possibilities offered by treating synthetic materials in new and extraordinary ways. 

These amazing artworks contain materials in heterogeneous combination - from enamel, resin and inks to radioactive matter, the resistance between these synthetic products create unique forms and surface patterns in reference to Green's original, organic subject matter.

A Wedding at Mulberry on Swan with Scott & Brooke

The day started at The Vines in the Swan Valley, with Scott and the groomsmen (recovering from the night before) getting their kit on for the big day ahead. Meanwhile most of the bridesmaids had a 24hr gastro episode and needed injections to stop vomiting at the local hospital! Reminded me of my wedding day hospital visit with a punctured lung! (That story is for another time)... The ceremony was held at Mulberry on Swan in the Swan Valley. Scoot & Brooke had their ceremony down by the banks of the Swan River in the lower gardens at Mulberry. I enjoyed being apart of their story and sharing the day with their friends and family.  Everybody looked amazing of course and to top it off we had blue skies and beautiful golden light for the photographs to finish off the day. Congratulations Scott & Brooke.
