I constantly see wealth and constantly see the poor on the streets everyday in need. It's easy to walk past a person begging or even looking like they need something. We are so wealthy and have so much compared to others in the community who are doing it tough. Whether they have had addiction issues, family or housing issues or just bad luck in life, we could say "its not our problem" or we can try and make a difference to that one person. A drink on a hot day or a blanket on a cold night is the start to reaching out. Maybe you need to get out of your comfort zone? I know I do. I've always loved to take peoples portraits who are less fortunate or that have a face full of character. It amazing to buy them a cuppa or a meal and sit and listen, then when I feel its appropriate I ask for their portrait. Sometimes they love it and others decline. The point is, I've stopped my busy life and tried to help in a small way and 'captured' a need that I'm personally exploring. Maybe you can too? Merry Christmas and I hope you find hope in your world.
